                                      Technical Project Manager

                                      The Technical Project Manager (TPM) specializes in coordinating projects where a high level of technical integration by the client is a requirement. The TPM must embrace a philosophy of continuous improvement (Kaizen) in meeting their objectives by focusing on improving the overall customer experience as well as the project’s profitability.

                                      The TPM works closely with Sales, Account Managers, and the technical staff to manage/coordinate projects through completion. Given that the TPM usually works on fixed price projects, the TPM must continually monitor project scope and attempt to reduce the Book to Bill time period. In the situation when a project stalls due to client unresponsiveness, the TPM will follow an established project escalation process to get the project back on track. Further, it is paramount that the TPM maintain a detailed record of each project within SalesForce.

                                      Team Management:

                                      • Manage day-to-day operational and technical aspects of multiple projects. Coordinate a team consisting of developers, designers, business analysts, quality assurance and others to ensure that project progress is on schedule and on time.
                                      • Enable project team success by identifying and addressing risk factors, external dependencies, and implementing innovative solutions to keep the project moving forward.

                                      Technical Ability:

                                      • As technical liaison, it’s important that the TPM is able to understand the internal and external technical teams so that the TPM can properly provide direction as well as communicate to the non-technical participants (such as the client’s chief marketing officer, CMO).
