One of the nation’s leading travel/tourism marketing companies for over 25 years, is searching for an experienced Account Executive to join our PA sales team.
Qualified candidate will possess the ability to close and service business within the Lancaster, Hershey, Harrisburg, Gettysburg tourism industry markets. Your primary focus will be to manage and grow an existing client base and develop new business relationships. The travel industry is full of fun and interesting people… we are looking for someone who loves this region of Pennsylvania and wants to help local businesses attract more visitors.
This position will manage a large existing account base with a primary focus on new business development. Clients & prospects include hotels, attractions, ski and sport business, neighborhood/business associations, chambers of commerce and convention and visitor bureaus. Our sales culture is consultative, needs-based, and client-focused. We meet client needs through a product line that includes targeted brochure distribution to visitors and locals, tourism maps, print/design jobs and advanced mobile marketing/digital products including text alerts and web advertising.
Expectations:
- Generate leads.
- Assess client needs and propose appropriate solutions that provide optimal results.
- Hit monthly revenue targets by increasing spending from existing accounts while closing new business.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a sales team.
- Be goal-oriented with a desire to develop a large client list of satisfied customers.
- Must have a proven track record in multi-platform sales with excellent customer service skills.
Job Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to grow within an established, fast paced, growing organization.
- Highly organized with the ability to professionally handle multiple accounts; excellent time management skills are essential.
- Superior customer-service and professional communication skills (both written & verbal).
- Proven success soliciting and closing self-generated leads.
- Comfortable cold-calling and presenting multiple platform packages.
- Previous advertising sales skills is a must.
- Ability to consultatively sell and grow existing accounts by selling traditional products and new technologies.
- Proficiency with Word, Salesforce.com, Excel, Outlook, basic web/SEO knowledge helpful.
- Service expectations include phone and outside sales appointments.
Compensation:
$35,000 base salary (first year’s estimated compensation $60K)
