Information Security Specialist

We are looking for an Information Security Specialist with experience in Penetration Testing and Application Security. The successful candidate will have experience in application review and scoring and be able to make recommendations as needed. Strong communication skills and the ability to self manage are required. The candidate must be flexible in the approach to information security and understand the risks, associated costs, and their impact to the business in a constantly changing environment.

Accountabilities:

    • Help build the Information Security function, develop and maintain security policies and provide leadership to subsidiaries.
    • Participate in Corporate and external audits.
    • Perform internal vulnerability assessments and work with development and IT staff to resolve issues.
    • Deploy, maintain, and use security related tools to monitor, track, and resolve threats to the infrastructure.

    • Keep pace with attacks made on a network from hackers across the globe, and maintain an understanding of how to protect our environments from them.

    Required Experience:

    • Display proficiency in related security practices and skills, and have a good systems/network architecture background.
    • Three (3) to five (5) years of actual work related experience in the identification and prevention of information security related attacks, and be familiar with the various tools available to identify, and prevent attacks.
    • Familiarity with system and network operating systems, databases and firewall appliances is required.
    • Ability to trouble shoot and research new threats and understanding how a hacker attempts to attack a resource is extremely important to the success in this position.
    • Must have clear and accurate communication skills.
    • Requires strong technical background in dealing with vulnerabilities and fixes.
    • Have an understanding of the risks associated with corruption or loss of data per application.
    • Knowledge of current vulnerabilities in the industry and ability to be responsible for protecting the corporate assets from both internal and external threats.
