Instructional Designer

We are looking for an Instructional Designer with UPK experience to design and develop course and support materials to be used in training of employees on customized computer applications. The course material may be developed and delivered using various modes ranging from Instructor Delivered to eLearning depending on client requirements. Background as an instructor is a plus. The position requires that the candidate complete a thorough background check.

Compensation:
12-month Contract, $23-$28 / hour
Duties:
- Work with subject matter experts and technical staff to identify instructional requirements from technical documentation, create effective learning strategies, and develop valid course content
- Design and develop instructor and End User Training Manuals for instructor led courses
- Analyze, design, and develop asynchronous eLearning curriculum modules using storyboard development
- Design support graphics/animations using various software tools
- Deliver training to clients in Train-the-Trainer
Requirements:
- BA/BS in Instructional Technology, Training & Development, or similar areas of study and 3 or more years of instructional design experience. 6 or more years instructional design experience in lieu of degree. (preference of software curriculum design experience)
- Experience with UPK
- Demonstrated ability with authoring/development tools, such as STT Trainer, OnDemand, Captivate, ToolBook or Flash
- Demonstrated ability with graphics tools, such as Snagit, Photoshop, and Paint
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Working knowledge of AICC/SCORM design standards for eLearning development
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong technical writing, editing and proofreading skills
