Software Technical Support Engineer

Status: Closed

In this position you will focus on diagnosing, reproducing and resolving software issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing tools as needed to improve the software development process.

Compensation:

40K-70K Permanent


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first level of customer interaction to identify and resolve software issues
  • Create reproducible test cases, file bug reports, and initiate delivery of fixes
  • Design and develop software tools (applications and scripts) to improve ETI’s software development process
  • Create and maintain existing automated test tools
  • Participate in qualification testing of new releases
  • Provide regular feedback to software developers, to help ensure that repeated problems are quickly identified and resolved

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Background in programming using C/C++ programming languages
  • Experience in customer support role
  • Background in script languages: BASH, Python, Perl, etc.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
