Design, implement, test and debug a highly reliable, distributed system.

Compensation:
50K-80K or 12-month Contract
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience developing applications with a background on system software and/or distributed systems
- Familiarity with BSD sockets API or distributed systems
- Proven experience designing scalable and reliable software, and with parallel file systems
- BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering
- C/C++ and Linux/Unix experience
- Computer architecture oriented
- Experience recognizing, correcting, and preventing synchronization problems in multi-threaded systems
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt easily to evolving requirements
- Ability to work independently to solve difficult problems and implement solutions
