Windows Systems Administrator responsible for the implementation and support of Windows and Linux based operating systems and various application, hardware and software platforms.

This is a 3 month contract to hire position. Permanent salary 50K.

Hours:

10pm through 7am

The qualified candidate will have professional experience working with the following:

  • Microsoft Windows Server technology for a minimum of three (3) years
  • Windows Systems / applications Patch Management for a minimum of two (2) years.
  • Web Server technologies for a minimum of two (2) years.
  • Enterprise Antivirus
  • Windows Systems backup and restore using various tools / utilities
  • VBS, Winbatch and/or other scripting languages for systems management.
  • Solid knowledge of networking concepts and technologies (protocols, software & HW components

The qualified candidate will demonstrate the ability:

  • To communicate with technical and non-technical individuals and teams. It will be considered a plus for the candidate to be fluent in understanding and speaking the Spanish Language.
  • To work in a fast paced production environment.
  • To work with minimal supervision.
  • Handle multiple tasks and projects with various and changing levels of priority
  • Provide technical support and direction to individuals and teams
  • Be willing to explore and apply different & emerging technologies that will support and enhance customer and business technology needs.
  • Build, configure, install servers, rack equipment and other related equipment
  • Work irregular hours to meet business requirements

It will be considered a plus for the candidate to have experience with the following specific platforms / technologies: CA Unicenter Software Delivery, Asset Management & Patch Management,Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server, Citrix Access Gateway / Netscaler, Trend Micro OfficeScan, Windows Deployment Services / unattended installation, Windows Software Update Services, Websphere, Coldfusion, Citrix Netscaler, Bluecoat Proxy, Advanced Host Monitor, Linux, VMWare ESX and Virtual Center virtualization technologies.

Regular job responsibilities will involve supporting all of the technologies listed above, customer and team driven projects, handling trouble tickets on a priority basis, work schedule will be primarily overnight hours (10PM through 7AM,) lifting/moving heavy server and other related equipment, be willing to participate in tasks related to helpdesk and desktop support to meet customer needs and take part in a comprehensive performance management plan that will involve the identification, discussion and implementation of personal and business related objectives and goals aimed at career and team development.
